Mr Donnell at Summer Camp

Camp Cazaux, France

Summer 1962

In July 1962 and 1963 Scouts from Troop 265, Dreux Air Base (Fleur de Lis District, Transatlantic Council), France visited Camp Cazaux near Bordeaux in southern France.  The camp was operated by the US Army for dependents of US military service members stationed in Europe.  Among those in the Troop 265 contingent was Mr. Donnell.  Enjoy a few pictures of "the way it was".  You'll find many similarities to today's Scout camps.  I believe that the main difference is that today's camps are in color.
