A great Scoutcraft oriented weekend at Camp Highroad! New Scouts were able to get many of their basic advancement requirements signed off and were awarded the Totin' Chip & Firem'n Chit. We completed a 5 mile hike with several of our younger Scouts leading the way with maps and compasses. And . . . for a change . . . the weather was wonderful. It was actually a little chilly the first night, affording our first year Scouts the opportunity to earn their "Polar Bear Camping" badges. Two Scouts earned "One Match Fire" certificates.
