Thanks to the Cunningham family, Troop 1018 had a wonderful campground -- on the land of the Miracle Valley Vineyard, near Delaplane, VA. We arrived on Friday night, set up camp and settled in around a cozy campfire and enjoyed a clear sky rarely seen in Northern Virginia -- including a very clear view of the Milky Way. It was cold that first night -- down to 22 degrees, but nothing deters the intrepid campers of 1018. Saturday was clear and sunny giving us an opportunity for some sports -- cricket and football, followed by a hike. As always, we ate very, very well. Sunday was another great day and we left looking forward to our next visit to the vineyard.
