The theme for this year's spring camporee was emergency preparedness and the district's planners and Fairfax County officials did a great job of demonstrating a wide range of emergency services and other county activities. As for the troop, well, for us it was certainly something special. We ate well (as always). Our Scouts earned 11 merit badges and were able to complete a number of advancement requirements. We led the campfire program with a show of our original skits and a few songs thrown in for good measure.
