In the way early hours some of our group headed by train to Italy (pics at the bottom of this page). For the rest of us the day started with a flag ceremony attended by the various Scout groups in the camp. Each group told where they were from and many gave their troop/patrol cheer. Follow the ceremony we went in search of a geocache hidden in the camp -- turned out to be a few steps from our campsite. The day was topped off with the International Barbeque -- a festival for everyone in the camp. Many of the countries brought information or food from home to give away to visitors. We gave away US flag pins and it was a "target rich environment" for trading patches and neckerchiefs.

A quick down and back via train to Italy. It's truly amazing what changes you can see in Europe after a train ride of a couple hours.
